Chemical Peels are a solution applied to the skin to remove the outer damaged layer of the skin and to stimulate cell rejuvenation and collagen production. This allows a new, healthier layer of skin to develop underneath, giving a fresh and youthful appearance.

What problems to peels treat?

  • Sun Damage
  • Acne Scarring
  • Hyper pigmentation
  • Fine Lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Tired looking skin

Types of Chemical Peels

There are 2 types of peels which we use at AboutSkin Clinic:

Glycolic Skin Peels – These peels are a superficial skin peel, they penetrate beneath the skin surface to exfoliate the outer layers and to stimulate growth. They are used for skin rejuvenation to give a fresh and youthful appearance. They are the mildest of the skin peels we provide.

TCA Skin Peels – These peels work on the deeper layers of the skin. They are stronger than Glycolic skin peels and are intended for treatment of sun damage, scarring, hyper pigmentation and more damaged skin.

What does the Procedure involve?
First you will attend one of our free consultations where we will assess your skin and discuss a personalised treatment plan. The actual procedure takes around 15 minutes, where the chemical is applied to areas for treatment for a set amount of time.
